PENSACOLA, Fla. — A local trickster named Nicole Baumann has been devilishly delighting her online contacts by making cryptic Facebook posts.
Over the past few weeks, Baumann’s confusing posts have left her Facebook friends wondering what in the world is going on.
“I had no idea my car could do that to a rack of bikes…crazy!” Baumann wrote early last week, leading her friends to ask what had happened. After at least a dozen queries had been put forth, the 21-year-old deli employee still did not explain.
Later in the week, Baumann wrote that she was “so excited” upon hearing “the best news ever,” saying that her life was going to change forever, but again she failed to explain why she was excited, leading her friends to congratulate her anyway.
On Sunday Baumann wrote that she “hated fake people” and she wanted to get all “dirty liers [sic]” out of her life. She added she was going to move in with her father, who lives 400 miles away in Arkansas. This news prompted a flurry of responses from friends wanting to know what had happened, and if she was okay.
Baumann’s friends credit her with keeping them on their feet.
“Nicole is the ultimate trickster, a playful and mysterious Facebook friend who keeps the rest of us scratching our heads as we try to decipher her mysterious updates,” said Baumann’s ex-boyfriend Garrett Hendricks. “Everyday I look forward to the challenge of putting the pieces together.”
According to sources, by Monday morning Baumann had written that everything was cool now, and it was all just one big misunderstanding.
